2885P Professional Modem The AJ2885P is the latest in a long line of professional voice frequency modems from CXR Anderson Jacobson. The 2885P is a multimode modem covering the speed from 300 to 33,600 bps over PSTN or 2/4 wire leased line. Extensive feature set, automatic recalls, tests, programmed help, access security…make the 2885P the modem of choice for many applications.
The 2885P own an user interface V24/RS232 very complete, and it ensure the connections in asynchronous or synchronous mode. This interface can be configured in V24/V28 or in V11 mode and could be connected to a X21/V35 device without converter or additional interface just by set-up and cable exchange. The 2885P-FT model provides all the functions required for the access to the PSTN network like multimode modem V34 (V21, V22Bis, V32Bis, V34, V23 half and full duplex) and fax Groupe 3 to 14.4 KBPS. It makes safe the accesses by multiple check procedures, of automatic recall and password. It is equipped with a detector of DTMF coding. This modem is the privileged tool for the professionals of the industrial remote-collecting, the access control, the remote-control, for its extended functionalities, its performances and its reliability. The models 2885P-Fx, 2885P-Bx, 2885-Tx and 2885P-Sx are equipped with an interface for specialized line, or leased line, 2 and 4 wire with high performances. The levels of emission can be set-up from 0 to -24 dBm. The leased line connection has an automatic Dial Back-up over PSTN network in case of rupture or strong degradation, the access to the PSTN being limited to period of time programmed over the week in order to limit the costs of them. The return on the specialized connection is automatic and without interruption of the data transmission.

All versions of the 2885P’s range supports the standard
protocols for error correction and data compression type MNP4/5 and
V42/V42Bis.

delivered as an SD or MD model with a LCD and keyboard to simplify the
exploitation of it and with a relay for dry contacts to ensure of the
functions of alarm and remote-action.
A rack card version of the 2885P fits in one of the 19
inches rack 1U AMS-4 , or the 4U AMS-16 with
redundant power and SNMP administration with CFIP.
