The AJ Smart Rack is NEBS compliant for systems requiring
stringent telco type installations.
The AMS-4 and AMS-16 are a designed for enterprise applications
and is modular in configuration.
CXR Anderson Jacobson's Universal Rack Systems are a combination of
hardware and software designed to provide a high density, fully
managable central site communication pool. The components for a complete
system include a device chassis (either the AMS or Smart Rack), power
supply (or redundant supplies) and a Management Controller. AJ Chassis
Systems are flexible and easy to grow as your site requirements
increase. The Universal Racks allow for mixing and matching of device
types, device speeds and applications within the same chassis. The AJ
Racks are not slot or chassis dependent, so a 56Kbps DSU, ISDN Terminal
Adapter or a modem can be used in any open slot without having to buy a
separate chassis for each device type.
The AMS16 is a multi-purpose managed chassis which supports different
types of transmission and access cards in any combinations. Cards can be
inserted and removed from the front without disturbing the other cards
in the chassis (hot swapping).
Power supply modules are available in 110/230 volts AC version or 48
volts DC. A single power module is capable of feeding a complete
chassis, and the optional second supply providing redundancy.
The optional controller card provides centralized management for
configuration, diagnostic and alarm reporting. It also provides various
types of statistics concerning the traffic and error rates. Up to 8
chassis can be stacked and daisy chained together, and slave controller
cards to be inserted in each additional chassis. Maximum configuration
supported in a single node is 128 cards
The Smart Rack is a NEBS compliant multi-purpose managed chassis
designed for the stringent requirements of telephone company central
offices. Like the AMS, it supports different types of transmission and
access cards in any combinations enabling you to grow your system as
your network grows. Interface connectors are built directly onto the
rack or modular cards.
