LAN interconnection in campus over copper
CXR proposes different solutions, dependent on the flow and safety to be set up in the campus.
The simplest solution will consist with the interconnection of the two LAN as two half of LAN Ethernet using the same class of address. Two CopperLAN inter-connected by a pair of copper with an average quality (5/10) will establish a single LAN with a speed of 4,6Mbps on 3,5km distance or at 128kbps with a distance of 10,5km. After a single setting of one CopperLAN as a Master, this one will automatically optimize the maximum stable flow according to the quality of the line and its length. No other operation is necessary. With a higher quality of copper (9/10) one will reach until 4,5km with 4,6Mbps full duplex. This transparent solution to the VLAN can be integrated without limitation into a VLAN architecture of switch.

The protected solution calling upon technologies of routing WAN over xDSL will consist in setting up a connection with two MD2011, modems MSDSL on a pair of copper which have the same performances as CopperLAN, and two routers at the ends such as TeamConnect on its V11 interface. The modems will provide the clock to the routers until 4,6Mbps. The routers will set up the strategy of safety and limitation of access optimizing the use of the bond only to one certain number of application with QoS.

The bridging simple solution with the new SpeederLAN-AG could setup a high speed flow over several pair of copper. The SpeederLAN makes it possible to bound 2, 3 or 4 pairs of copper, and could reach with an average quality line (5/10) until 12Mbps on 3,5km or 512kbps on 10,5km. This equipment would be able to reach 13,3km distance with copper of better quality (9/10). At the starting time of the system will analyze each pair and will optimize the flow incorporated according to the quality of each pair DSL and will renew this operation during the transmission.
