Transportation of Analogue Voice

The transportation of the analogue voice include all aspect of the telephony: the voice signal up to 3,4kHz, the ring exchange and the numeration of the subscribers. This allows also the transport of frequency signals used by modems and fax. In case of voice extension we will recognize the following elements for voice.

Connected to the PBX analog lines or to the PSTN network termination the transmission equipment is using an FXO interface.

The phone set is connected to a FXS interface, which one will provide the feed of the phone set and sufficient energy to activate the ring.

Then as we want to carry out PABX, or PSTN terminator, towards the subscriber we will process a transport of FXO towards a FXS.

In case of several line from a PBX, this one we will transmit the voices from a E1 CAS digital voice to the analog sets with a voice extension from E1 CAS to FXS.

Customer would required also to transport analogical voice or audio-frequency from a electronics device, or a analogue radio system, over 2 or 4 wires. Then we will use an E&M voice interfaces.

For examples, the interconnection of PABX could be done by 4 wire with the two wire E and M signaling . This signalization will establish the sense of the communication between PBX , 2 wire being intend for the communication from PBX A towards B and the 2 others wire from B towards A.

This E&M interface is also the right interconnection for analog Radio system which will be carried out by 2 or 4 analogical wire and their remote control will carry out generally by a RS232 or Ethernet interface simultaneously.

This type of transmission would be done from E&M interface to E&M or in case of significant concentration this would be done from E1 voice towards E&M interface.

We will present the following CXR Anderson Jacobson solutions for voice extension :

  • Concentration of the voice access FXS or E&M, multiplexing with data with the IX4200 or QX3440 multiplexers and transport as E1 link over PDH and SDH Networks.
  • Voice E1 line extension over copper with MD20E1
  • Voice E1 line extension over fiber optic with FO80E1, FO84E1 and SX9300
  • Voice E1 line extension over IP network with IP-Jet
  • Pair gain of FXS with the PCM-GP including the extension in G.SHDSL
