CXR provides a large selection of symmetrical xDSL WAN modems utilizing one or two pairs of copper to transport synchronous interfaces E1, T1, X21/V11, V35, RS-530, RNIS S0/T0 as well as asynchronous RS-232 and Ethernet.

These modems employ the most recent G.SHDSL technology or the proven MSDSL technology. CXR can also supply modems using the old HDSL technology.

High rate WAN modem G.SHDSL

Theses modems employ a technology which provides an auto-adaptive rate to the quality/distance of the copper. Data rates are 2.3 Mbps for one pair and 4.6Mbps with two pair. The distances are 40% greater than the old HDSL technology.

The MD4000 from CXR Anderson Jacobson integrates G.SHDSL with TC-PAM16 coding approved by UIT, ETSI and ANSI to transport 2.3Mbps traffic over multi-pair telephone lines. This technology cans cohabitate with E1-MIC, E1-PRI voice and ADSL line over the same telephone lines.

The MD4000 is available in 2 or 4 wire models, includes repeaters/regenerators that can be powered over the line from the central office.

The auto-adaptive large spectrum coding and transmission give it a high level of resistance in noisy environments.

New Q4 2008 CXR has launched the MD400-E1/T1

The MD400-E1 is a new generation modem, very economical to deploy in E1/T1 networks for Voice/Mobile/PMR by TELCOs or large organizations. This new system is based G.SHDSL.Bis components and can be powered locally with AC/DC or remotely over the line.

High rate WAN modem MSDSL over 2 wires

This modem utilizes the high density auto-adaptive coding MSDSL over a single copper pair. The transmission distance exceeds the old HDSL technology by 30% and it has better noise immunity.

CXR Anderson Jacobson has developed the MD2000 with MSDSL technology utilizing CAP coding. It can achieve data rates of up to 4.6 Mbps and a maximum distance of 12 Km (7.46 miles) at 128kbps over AWG 19 copper.

This coding provides reliable performance when working with poor quality or noisy copper pair. G.SHDSL MD400/MD4000 modems are recommended for new installations.

HDSL modem

This old technology utilizes 2 copper pairs with a fix rate of 2 x 1024Kbps rate to transport E1, V35 or X21.

Even though CXR can provide HDSL modems, we recommend you adopt the G.SDSL MD400 or MD4000 series modems which are more flexible, have a greater reach and improved line conditioning.
