DACS Multiplexer E1/T1, E3/DS3
Multiservice Multiplexers
CXR presents a range of Digital Access non blocking Cross Connect multiplexers with multiple E1/T1 or E3/DS3 as inputs or outputs and two models with STM1/OC3 termination. These multiplexers are placed in critical TDM or PDH network hubs and have the capability to cross-connect all Time Slots of all incoming traffic with outgoing circuits
They are flexible multi-service voice/data/Ethernet platforms because of their modular interfaces.
These products are used by the Telco for voice and data distribution in low density areas. They are frequently deployed in transport facilities or electricity distribution networks for the concentration and distribution of teleprocessing, SCADA, Ethernet and analogue voice and radio circuits. This equipment can be deployed as a PDH access device to a SDH network or as a unique node for cross-connecting various types of voice/data traffic in a campus environment. A final use is as a channel bank for the distribution of telephone circuits or a connection to a PBX.

The IX4300 is a Mini 4 port E1/T1 DACS with 4 -2Mbps interfaces or n 56/64Kbps or V35. The choice of interfaces must be determined when placing an order. This equipment is particularly effective for E1/T1 A law to µ law conversion and translation of ABCD bits necessary for some US voice networks.
The IX4200-9 is a fully modular DACS multiplexer with 9
user or network interfaces. It concentrates and cross-connects all TS of
the E1/T1 , V35 series, X21, V24 or asynchronous RS232 circuits,
Ethernet with bridging and routing capability, and voice with FXO/FXS,
E&M and E1 with CAS capabilities. This equipment is heavily deployed in
transport networks.
The IX4200-28 is a larger modular DACS containing up to 28 2Mbps interfaces identical to the IX4200-9 but also a network termination interface of E3 34Mbps, DS3 45Mbps or STM1 155Mbps with 1+1 protection . This equipment is often used as the principal node or in the core of the network making it possible for telecom operators to distribute large numbers of voice circuits, leased lines and Internet access.

The QX3440 is a High Density PDH multiplexer with a 128Mbps cross-connecting capability. This product is designed to deliver a large number of customer interfaces to a site. The QX3440 is used by the Telco for local loop distribution of voice traffic into a large building complex and is also deployed in networks for transport facilities such as ports, airports, metro and train stations.
This DACS has 4+12 interface slots for: WAN interfaces (E1, T1, 4 E1, 4 T1, 4 E1 optical fiber and E1 Frame relay), DATA interfaces ( multi WAN bridge/router, 5 async/sync RS232 and 6 serial n 56/64k) and for high density VOICE interfaces ( 12 FXO, 12 FXS and 8 E&M cards).
The IX4100 is a TDM/PDH multiplexer with STM1/OC3 interfaces and VC12 payload. This equipment with PDH synchronization could link and cross-connect up to 63 E1 or 63 x 31 TS and up to 3E3 or DS3 over STM1 fiber optic interfaces.
The HX9500 is a hybrid SDH/SONET ADM or TDM multiplexer with an integrated DACS with 45E1 backplane using the cards from the QX3440 DACS. This product is described in the SDH section.
