AMS4 - AMS16 The CXR Anderson Jacobson universal rack

The AJ Rack System is a universal shelf designed to support AJ communication devices. This chassis supports up to 16 devices per chassis (up to 64 ports per AMS), has slots for two power supplies and one CF-IP Management Card.

The AMS-4 and AMS-16 are designed for enterprise applications and are modular in configuration.

The CXR Anderson Jacobson's Universal Rack System is a combination of hardware and software designed to provide a high density fully managed central site communication pool. The components for a complete system include a chassis, power supply (or redundant supplies) and a Management Controller. AJ Chassis Systems are flexible and easy to expand as your site requirements increase. The Universal Rack allows for mixing and matching of device types, device speeds and applications within the same chassis. The AJ Rack is not slot or feature card dependent. Analogue modems, ISDN Terminal Adapters, fiber optic/DSL modems and TDM converters can all be used in any open slot.

The AMS16 is a multi-purpose managed chassis which supports different types of transmission and access cards in any combination. Cards can be inserted and removed from the front without disturbing the other cards in the chassis (hot swapping).

Power supply modules are available in 110/230 volts AC version or 48 volts DC. A single power module is capable of feeding a complete chassis. The optional second supply provides redundancy.

The optional controller card CFIP-SNMP provides centralized management for configuration, diagnostic and alarm reporting. It also provides various types of statistics concerning the traffic and error rates for analogue and ISDN TA cards.
