XM-M16E1-4TTX Modular inverse multiplexer from Ethernet over 16 E1 or T1 Or Ethernet converter toward 16 E1/T1 links

This inverse multiplexer has 4 Ethernet 10/100BaseT copper interfaces, one optional 100FX or 1000SX/LX slot and 4 slots for 4 E1 or 4 T1. Up to 16 E1/T1 can be aggregated for a single Ethernet link or 4 independent Ethernet links can be configured with n E1/T1 bandwidth each or up to 16 Ethernet links of one E1 bandwidth. Maximum WAN bandwidth is 32Mbps.

The XM-M16E1 interconnects peer to peer LANs at a rate of n x 2Mbps up to 32Mbps. The Ethernet transport is transparent for VLAN and can operate tagging and double tagging or Q-in-Q.

The transport of Ethernet is based on Ethernet over NG PDH (EoPDH) technology using the level 2 GFP and VCAT mode and the LCAS protocol to manage automatically the loss or recovery of E1/T1 without traffic interruption. This technology operates in a bridge mode and is more efficient in bandwidth than routing or bridging using MLPPP or MP+ mode found in routers.

This equipment can be used at the edge of nE1/ nT1 or PDH or SDH networks or over microwave links. Delays between individual E1/T1’s can be adjusted up to 64ms.

The XM-M16E1 can manage several links of n E1/T1, without constraint of number E1/T1 within a maximum of 16 E1/T1. Each Ethernet link can be attached to one of the 4 Ethernet ports.

The traffic from each direction can be tagged or double tagged.

The XM-M16E1 can be used as a concentrator of 16 Ethernet links over one E1 or T1 terminated by a CV200-TTX converter. This is an efficient and economic solution to distribute Internet access over TDM network.
