Ethernet Converter over 4 to 16 bonded E1/T1 Inverse Multiplexer

CXR not only offers a large selection of single G703 E1/E2/E3 and T1/DS3 interface converters toward Ethernet, but it also provides a family XM equipment that bonds up at 16 E1/T1 for a single Ethernet trunk.

This equipment is based on Ethernet over PDH ( EoPDH) technology which utilizes GFP/VCAT and LCAS protocols to bond and transmit multiple E1/T1s. This technology is more efficient and economical than the MLPPP aggregation of a router.

If E3, DS3 or STM1 are not available it could be more useful and economical to deploy several bonded E1/T1 interfaces to deliver Ethernet to the end user.

The XM-M16E1-4TTX is a multiple Ethernet 10/100BaseT converter bonding up to 16 E1/T1 with an automatic adjustment of the rate up to 32Mbps. The XM-M16E1-4TTX can manage up to 16 independent links in the same LAN, or 4 links from each 4 Ethernet port. Links can be provided by E1 or T1 leased lines, private PDH/n E1/n T1/SDH networks or microwave radio links.

Other technologies of bounding E1/T1 links are available in the CXR catalogue:

The QX3440 is a 64 E1/T1 DACS that can bond up to 4E1/T1 in MLPPP with the QX3440-SWM8-RT Switch/Router card.

The HX9400 et HX9500, NG SDH multiplexers transport Ethernet in Ethernet over SDH/SONET (EoS) ; they can aggregate at n x VC12 (E1+) or n x VC3 (DS3+) per link up to 150 Mbps or 622 Mbps in STM1/OC3 or STM4/OC12 pipes.
