MANAGEABLE MEDIA CONVERSION for ETHERNET/GIGABIT ETHERNET

CXR offers a media conversion center for Ethernet and Gigabit-Ethernet with copper, dual fiber, single fiber WDM and lambda CWDM media. This solution permits one to deploy and maintain an optical Ethernet WAN while avoiding having to request additional resources during high activity periods for switches and routers.

This manageable solution is particularly interesting and easy to manage in large networks and with the Telco for FTTC or FTTB applications.

AMS-MEDIA-16-SNMP Chassis media conversion center

This 16 cards chassis is manageable in Telnet, html and SNMP. Over a unique IP address we can manage 16 links which includes local FOCIR cards and the distant FOCI converters or SWMI switches.

The system manages the links activation/deactivation, , rate limitation, 1+1 protection, broadcast filtering and traffic analysis amongst other features.

FOCIR Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet manageable media converter card

This module is a pure media converter or switch Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet, copper/fiber and fiber/fiber card. The card is manageable from the AMS-MEDIA16 chassis. The distant end FOCI or SWMI switch is managed over the fiber (In Band).

FOCI Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet media converter remotely managed

This module is a pure converter or a 2 port switch Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet copper/fiber or fiber/fiber. It is remotely administrated over the fiber in band per the central card FOCIR. But it can also be deployed as a stand-alone plug and play media converter.

SWMI Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet switch remotely managed by center

These switches include one or two fiber uplinks 100FX or 1000SX/LX and 8 10/100BaseT ports. They are managed over the fiber (In-Band) via the FOCIR card at the media center AMS-MEDIA16-SNMP. All ports are managed including UTP ports with activation/rate/flux….and VLAN.
