MEDIA CONVERTER ETHERNET/GIGABIT ETHERNET

CXR has a large offering of Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet Media Converters from copper to fiber and fiber to fiber. This section will describe the unmanageable equipment and the next section the manageable devices.

The main functions of the FOC, FOCF, FOCI and FOCIR are to:

Interconnect two pieces of equipment with different media: copper to multimode fiber, copper to single-mode fiber, copper to single-mode fiber WDM with one fiber or copper to single-mode CWDM fiber, and may function at different rates.

Interconnect to branch of LAN over long distance or in disrupted environment..

FOC Media converter copper to fiber

These media converters are configured with micro-switches. They interface100BaseT to 100FX and 1000BaseT to 1000SX/LX, or they integrate a two ports switch to provide at the copper side the rate adaptation 10/100BaseT or 10/100/1000BaseT

FOC-GTX-SFP Media converter copper to fiber support with SFP module

This is a stand alone Media converter with micro-switch converting 1000BaseT to 1000FX SFP with a large offering of SFP modules,

FOC-GTX-SFP Media converter SFP demarcation device

This media converter switches from 10/100/1000BaseT to 1000FX SFP, with a local consol port, can tag or double tag the VLAN. It is used in a transport infrastructure to provide the Q-in-Q transport.

All FOC-xxx are delivered with AC/DC5V external power, or an optional DC48V/DC5V. These modules can fit in the RACK-MEDIA16 chassis which provides shared power and fans for air circulation.

FOCF- Media converter from Fiber to Fiber Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet

They are Pure Media converter 100FX to 100FX or 1000SX to 1000SX/LX.
All FOCF are delivered with AC/12V external power.
