AMS-MEDIA-16-SNMP Chassis media conversion center

The CXR media conversion center is a powerful solution to deploy short and long distance optical Ethernet links. This system is used by the Telco to interconnect multi-site customers with Ethernet but also for enterprise applications with large campuses, buildings and multiple floors.

The AMS-MEDIA16-SNMP concentrates dual fiber, single fiber WDM and also CWDM Lambda into a unique management center.

This 16 cards chassis is manageable in Telnet, html and SNMP. Over an unique IP address we can manage 16 links which includes local FOCIR cards and the distant FOCI converters or SWMI switches.

Centralized administration give access to the FOCIR cards for:

Automatic inventory of cards, the show of the status line and interfaces,
Activation/inactivation of the links,
Links rate selection per 1Mbps step,
Automatic or on demand setup of speed, duplex mode, lfow control,
Broadcasts filtering,
Ethernet framed monitoring with 9 groups RMON probe,
1+1 protection of adjacent cards,
Link Pass Through mode and Link alarm function,
Alarms tracking of cards, powers and fans.

… and for distant FOCI modules and SWMI switches:

Automatic inventory of cards, the show of the status line and interfaces,
Administration of copper ports: MDI/MDIX/Auto, speed, duplex and flow control,
Traffic monitoring and power monitoring.

The AMS-MEDIA16 is a 19’’ 2U chassis for 16 hot swappable cards. It is powered by two redundant load balancing AC or 48vDC power supplies and 3 fans.

All functions are secured and the card configuration can be completed with dip-switches if the customer wants to avoid the administration system. Media conversion of each link is not dependant on the status of the management.

Alarms can be activated/deactivated as well the TRAP to the manager software.

CXR offers a standard or a light aluminium chassis for on board applications like in a military environment.
