Ethernet Bridge/Router - Ethernet extension over Copper

The CopperLAN-Bis is a Bridge/Router with a G.SHDSL.bis modem WAN using the EFM technology over 2 or 4copper wires and supporting a maximum rate of 5,7Mbps or 11,4Mbps.

The CopperLAN-Bis is high speed transmission equipment which carries Ethernet over one or two copper pair. This modem comply to the UIT-T G991.2 standard of G.SHDSL-Bis and provided a maximum 5,7 Mbps rate per pair of copper. The rate of Ethernet rich 11,4Mbps by bounding of 2 pairs in EFM (Ethernet First Mile) mode and complied with the IEEE 802.3ah OAM standard.

Over two pair of 0,4mm diameter, the CopperLan-Bis can transmit with the full rate of 11,4 Mbps up to 2,5/2,9km. The auto-adaptative rate permit to reach up to 8km with the 384Kbps bandwidth. This distance could be increase to 12km in case of 0,9mm copper.

The CopperLAN-Bis include a router with a powerfull 4 x 10/100Baset ports switch for local access. One of the port support the 15W POE power feeding for camera, IP-phone…

The CopperLAN-Bis support per port VLAN and tagging 802.1q VLAN. As per port VLAN we can easily deploy four independent copper interconnection over a single DSL. It is tagging/untagging C-VLAN and S-VLAN to support simple organization or Q-in-Q for transport infrastructure. It is giving the QoS priorities the different flows based on port and DSCP field.

The CopperLAN-Bis can run as a static ou RIP v1/v2 router. This router supply to the local users DHCP, DNS service and functions of security like PAT/NAT translation and firewall.

Thee CopperLAN-Bis is provide with an V24/RS232 terminal port to be use as RAS port for a local asynch terminal or RTU, POS terminal or to control a local equipment from remote site..
