The Halcyon 704A packages Universal Test Sets are hand held integrated
test sets optimized for analog and digital telecommunications. The test
sets have 
real
digital emulation, digital loop emulation, digital loop qualification
features, and emulation for CO and PBX switches. All models perform
full-service broadcast TIMS and data tests.
The ISDN test capabilities include BRI ISDN configuration, loopback and BERT testing capabilities from 2B1Q U interface. The Basic Rate Interface provides NT1 or combined NT1 + T1 functionality and supports both asynchronous and synchronous operation.
There is a factory installed Option C package available which adds full T1 and Fractional T1 capability to the versatile test set
