IX4100 DACS TDM/PDH Multiplexer with SDH-STM1/SONET-OC3 interface

The IX4100 is a multiplexer cross-connect of TS(DS0) and E1/T1, or DACS, with two SDH-STM1 or SONET-OC3 aggregate interfaces and 3 PDH tributaries E3, DS3, 21E1 or 28T1 cards.

All elements including CPU with cross-connect, power supply, STM/OC and tributaries cards can be doubled to support full redundancy 1+1.

All E1/T1, or TS/DS0 from E1/T1, can be cross-connected in any E1/T1 or E3/DS3 or E1/T1 in VC12/11 of the STM1/OC3 interfaces. The system has a capacity of 189 E1/ 252 T1 including the protection of E1/T1 path.

The IX4100 is an ADM (add and drop multiplexer) or TM (terminal multiplexer) in STM1/OC3 bus or E3/DS3 bus.

The IX4100 is providing the cross-connect of data leased-lines and voice using the CAS signalisation or ISDN-PRI E1-R2 in clear channel mode. The IX4100 is used be Telco with conversion E1/T1 and law A to law µ to make the voice conversion between USA and rest of the world.

The 5U chassis can be fixed in 19'' or 23'' shelve. 4 slots are reserved to the STM1/OC3, 6 to the E3, DS3, 21 E1 or 28T1 with protection 1+1 circuits
