IX4200-9 Modular Multi-service Multiplexer - DACS
The IX4200-9 is a fully modular multiplexer DACS, with 9 slots for network or tributaries of 2Mbps or n 64/56kbps. Accessory modules include E1, T1, serial V35, X21, V24, Terminal server asynchronous RS232, POTS voice (FXO/FXS, E&M or RON-TRON), Ethernet bridge/router, and E1 Frame relay/ATM.
The IX-4200-9 supports all modes of POTS voice interfaces:
FXO to FXS , FXS to FXS (PLAR mode), FXS to E1-CAS or T1-CAS and E&M to
E&M or E&M to E1-CAS/T1-CAS. The IX4200-9 fully
supports conversion from E1 to T1 with 64kbps to 56kbps, as well as A
law to µ law.
Attention:
The Model IX-4200-9 is being Manufacturer Discontinued, and is not recommended for new applications. The new Model QX3440D is replacing the IX4200-9, while fully supporting all applications of the older model.
All tributary cards of the IX4200-9 can be used in the QX3440D (with a free software upgrade), and all cards from the QX3440 (with references QX34DD) can be used in the IX4200-9.
