SWM-24VD4-2TGTX 4-Band VDSL 24 port concentrator with rates up to 25 Mbps and 2 uplink 10/100/1000BaseT ports for trunking
This layer 2 switch provides 24 4-band VDSL links when connected with VD4FT-S or VD4FT-4TTX modems at a maximum distance of 1.9km (1.18 miles). This is a quick and economical methodology to deploy a LAN in a building by utilizing the existing telephone lines.
This VDSL technology is also used by service providers to deploy Internet access/TVoIP/VoIP in the last mile and then connecting to a Giga Ethernet uplink back to the main server.
This 4-band VDSL technology transports Ethernet flow over VDSL with an HDLC transport. It doesn’t insert latency like ATM encapsulation and is particularly effiective in deploying Television over IP (TVoIP) in hotels, hospital or in Telco local loops.
Maximum rate are 25 Mbps up to 800 m (.5 miles),15 Mbps up to 1.3 km (.81 miles) or 5 Mbps up to 1.9 km (1.18 miles). .

The internal layer 2 switch of the SWM-24VD4-2TGTX contains 8.8Gbps of switching capacity which enables it to manage IGMP snooping for video conferencing and TVoIP.
This VDSL switch support VLAN tagging per port and 802.1q, QoS management, Spanning Tree and RSTP protocols, port trunking and Broadcast Storm filtering.
For ISP or sales of Internet access, the SWM-24VD4 also supports centralized control of user login/password authentication (802.1x).
This is a simply plug and play application. An IP address is installed in the switch and the CPE devices are automatically provisioned as they are connected to the switch.

SIMULTANEOUS TELEPHONY AND DATA
The concentrator comes with 24 built-in splitters that allows you to add and drop VDSL links on PSTN or ISDN U0 lines. The switch has two RJ21 connectors (POTS/ISDN) and (VDSL). One Telco 50 cable goes from the POTS/ISDN connector to the PBX or PSTN switch and a second Telco 50 cable goes from the VDSL connector to the copper facilities distribution frame. The VD4FT-S or VD4FT-4TTX are installed at the Customer premise to complete the VDSL link. This technology is a relatively simple solution to provide Internet access over the existing telephony infrastructure.
