VD4FT / VD4FT-4TTX Ethernet VDSL modem up to 25 Mbps, LAN Extension
The VD4FT is utilized to extend a LAN or to deploy Internet access in a building or within a campus environment using the existing telephone system cable infrastructure.

The VD4FT contains the digital VDSL technology with QAM based 4 bands coding within the spectrum from 0, 9 to 7,9MHz to transport an Ethernet flow. This technology is particularly effective because it enables you to extend the LAN over a simple copper pair at 3 times the normal distance of the conventional Ethernet over Cat5 cable.
This transport of Ethernet over VDSL (EoVDSL) doesn't add overhead or ATM encapsulation. Even with a power interruption, the resynchronisation of the transmission is very short and doesn't affect the video server and IGMP exchange. VDSL is a preferred choice of deployment over ADSL2+ if the distance parameters can be met because it is easier to deploy and maintain.
VD4FT-M and VD4FT-S creates a plug and play LAN extension over a copper telephone extension.

Select a line between the PBX and a telephone set. It doesn’t have to be active. Install master modem VD4FT-M at the PBX end and a slave modem VD4FT-S at the telephone extension. Power up the equipment and the synchronization is completed within a few second and an Ethernet line is operational just as if there were an Ethernet cable.
Nothing must be set up in the both modems or in the both part of LAN. The installation is plug and play.
The speed can be adjusted from the master through the use of DIP switches.
VD4FT-4TTX-S Slave modem with 4 Ethernet ports

This customer premise equipment (CPE) equipment, or slave, includes a 4 ports Ethernet 10/100BaseT switch. QoS and filtering features will be available as a future option for better management of VoIP, IPTV and Internet distribution.
VD4FT-S and VD4FT-4TTX-S are also CPE modems, or slave devices, which interface with the VDSL 8 ports SWM-8VD4-TGTX and 24 ports SWM-24VD4-TGTX switches.

The VD4FT-S and VD4FT-4TTX-S are fully automatically controlled by the VDSL switch. The switch manages the VDSL rate, the Ethernet rate, the access authorisation and all deletion or d restoration of services.
The switch and modem installation can be done very simply, just install an IP address and then program the secure services with VLAN, 801.1x.and intelligent services QoS, IMGP snooping etc. For IPTV, VoIP.
